For this project the brief asked to construct a permanent base for local and visiting fishermen to the area as well as providing a research facility for studying the ecology of the Wye river.  An educational facility was design including a visitor centre, accommodation for any visiting fishermen or students from school field trips, a classroom, a space for fishing, research lab, and dining hall.  During this project the primary focus was on the construction and materiality - the relationship of timber structure and reinforced concrete.
